Linux Systems Engineer |
| The Linux Systems Engineer is directly responsible for all aspects of running Locus’ Linux server infrastructure (hardware, software, etc.). In addition, this position may be required to serve as a subject matter expert in related fields. |
RESPONSIBILLITIES:
- Install and maintain diverse systems in a multi-state environment
- Implement, test and deploy reliable systems that meet business needs (DNS, Web, E-mail, VOIP, Database, File Transfer, etc.)
- Troubleshoot complex interactions between multiple systems
- Automate system/application processes
- Monitor the performance and availability of systems
- Stay current on developments with relevant technologies and software
- Provide guidance to management on technical systems
- Document system setup and any standard troubleshooting procedures

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies/concepts quickly and effectively
- Knowledge of the *nix command line
- Knowledge of common protocols (DNS, SMTP, HTTP, TLS, etc.)
- Solid understanding of basic networking (IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, NAT, etc.)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (sh, perl, python, etc.)

Responsibilities:
Essentially responsible for handling all forms of communications
from both customers and dealers, ensuring satisfaction
with the services and products provided by our company

- Handle Customer calls and when assigned, dealer
inquiries as "Power Calls"
- Determine Customer
needs and advise of options to purchase service or
equipment
- Charge end-user's credit cards following
the proper procedures
- Fraud guidelines followed for
blocked and "transfer to live" transactions
- Provide
rates and other product information
- Assist
in explaining handset operation and programming
- Be
able to explain the various components involved in
billing a pcs call

Responsibilities:
- Manage existing and new channel partners selling
MVNO wireless products nationwide on GSM & CDMA
networks
- Cold call and use industry contacts to
acquire new distribution partners – master agents,
ISO, regional retailers, etc.
- Be responsible for
a monthly sales quota and revenue target
- Prepare
effective sale presentations for prospective clients
- Build
relationship with major distributors by closely maintaining
communication and providing necessary support
- Recommend
strategy and tactical plan to increase sales and
build new distribution network
- Provide statistical
report including sale report, prospect report, progress
