Hot Diggity Dog – Locus Partners With SDI

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ, December 5, 2006 - Headquartered in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, Locus Telecommunications, an established, leading provider of prepaid services and one of the nation’s largest prepaid long distance calling card suppliers, proudly announces a new co-branded venture with SDI, one of the nation’s most prominent Calling Card distributors. Together these telecommunications organizations have created the new “Hot Dog” phone card.

“Today competition in the market place is at its peak. Customers have lots of choices and very busy lifestyles. To differentiate ourselves we needed to create a unique card that not only provided appealing rates, but stood out visually among the competition.” states Sohel Kapadia, CEO of SDI.

This card is the first of its kind for both Locus and SDI. Unlike traditional cards that cater to a specified niche market or ethnicity, The Hot Dog card is one of the first cards to appeal to a broader range of ethnic markets by offering competitive rates to the world’s most popular countries. With so many cards to choose from, Hot Dog makes the consumer’s choice even easier by offering one card for everyone.

JH Choi, Vice President of Calling Card Sales at Locus, states, “SDI is one of the largest and most effective distributors in the industry. Their experience, together with Locus’ vast knowledge of and recognition in the prepaid telecommunications industry, provides us with a unique way to not only catch the attention of our current customers, but to draw repeat as well as new business.

The co-branded Hot Dog card was recently introduced in the New York metro market and has seen much success since its launch. Choi adds, “To increase the card’s success and to cater to the growing number of prepaid calling card users all over the country, Locus and SDI plan on launching the Hot Dog Card in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New England, and Texas.”

To further increase the awareness of this new product, an extensive advertising campaign has been planned and will target well-known radio and TV stations in the New York area. This campaign began in late November and will carry through into 2007. In addition a comprehensive promotional campaign, offering participating retailers monthly prizes for maintaining minimum volumes, will be offered to all retail outlets in order to help heighten recognition of the card among retailers and consumers alike.
