Locus goes on Safari with GEO Africa
ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ, July 12, 2005 - Headquartered in Englewood
Cliffs, NJ, Locus Telecommunications, an established, leading
provider of prepaid services and one of the nation’s largest
prepaid long distance calling card suppliers, proudly announces
the national launch of its newest card, GEO Africa. Following
a successful trial in select markets, Locus is now offering
this card nationwide through its network of 50,000 retail points.
GEO Africa is considered to be one of the best selling and
highest quality calling cards for the African calling card
segment.
According to JH Choi, Vice President of Calling Card
Sales at Locus, “Prior to GEO Africa, Locus was not a competitor
in this market segment. Based on extensive market research
and in-depth interviews with our distribution partners, Locus
created a targeted long distance calling card that incorporates
the strength, reliability and quality that our family of
GEO Telecom cards have come to be known for.“
GEO Africa has
been increasingly successful since its launch, showing steady
growth in network traffic. Choi adds, “To build on the success
of this card, and to cater to the growing number of recent
US immigrants from other parts of the world, Locus is now working
on launching “GEO Europe”, “GEO Asia” and “GEO Middle East.”
